Privacy notice

We’re a father and son joinery firm, and we only ask for enough detail to understand your job and give you a price. This page explains, in plain English, what we do with it.

Last updated 3 November 2026

Who we are

This website is run by PNG Joinery Ltd, and we are the data controller for the information described on this page. We are a father and son joinery firm fitting kitchens and bathrooms and building bespoke joinery across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

PNG Joinery Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 16816247. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are based in Airdrie and that is where the work is run from; the registered office is the company’s address for formal correspondence.

The easiest way to reach us about anything on this page, including a request about your own information, is WhatsApp or a call to 07940 355604.

What we collect

We only hold what you choose to send us when you get in touch. That is usually:

  • Your name, so we know who we are speaking to.
  • Your area or postcode, so we can tell whether the job is within reach and work out travel.
  • Details about the project – the type of work, roughly when you would like it started, what you need doing, and any photos or measurements you send us.
  • Your phone number, which reaches us as part of your WhatsApp message or from your handset if you ring us.

The quote form on this website does not send anything to us, or to anyone else, by itself. When you press the button, your browser opens WhatsApp with the details already typed into a message, and nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, ring us instead.

We do not ask for, and have no need for, anything sensitive – no bank or card details, no date of birth, no health information. If a job relates to mobility or accessibility needs, please tell us only what you want us to know in order to quote for the work.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, ask any follow-up questions, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, plan and carry out the work and sort out payment for it. That is all.

Under UK GDPR our lawful basis is:

  • Steps you’ve asked us to take before a contract – you’ve asked us for a price, and we can’t give you one without your details.
  • Performance of a contract once you accept a quote and we take the job on.
  • Legal obligation for the records we are required to keep, such as our accounts.

Messages sent through WhatsApp

Our enquiries come in through WhatsApp, so your message travels through WhatsApp’s service before it reaches our phone. WhatsApp is run by Meta and is a separate company from us. When you use it, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to how it handles your message and your phone number, alongside this notice.

You can read it at whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. We have no control over WhatsApp’s own use of your data. If you would prefer not to involve WhatsApp at all, call us on 07940 355604 instead.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages only for as long as we need them to reply, quote and carry out any work, and we keep job and invoice records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. If you’d like us to delete your messages or details, just ask.

We never sell your details, and we do not market to you

We do not sell, rent or swap your information with anyone, and we do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing. There is no newsletter, and we will not pass your number to other trades looking for work.

The only time your details go any further is where it is genuinely needed to do your job or to meet the law – giving a supplier a delivery address for your kitchen units, for instance, passing invoices to our accountant, or responding to a lawful request from HMRC or another authority. Suppliers are told only what they need to know.

This website: no cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no third-party embeds – the fonts are served from our own site rather than Google, and there are no Google Maps or YouTube players built into the pages. That is why you see no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Where we link out to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google Maps or WhatsApp, those are ordinary links. Nothing from those services loads until you choose to follow the link, and once you do you are on their site, under their privacy policy.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Netlify, who run the servers that send these pages to your browser. Like any web host, Netlify automatically records technical details of each request – such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser type – in server logs. These logs exist to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. Netlify holds them as our processor and keeps them for a limited period, as set out in Netlify’s own terms. Netlify is a US company, and where any of this data is transferred outside the UK it relies on the safeguards in those same terms. Their privacy notice is at netlify.com/privacy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Have it corrected if something is wrong or out of date.
  • Have it deleted, where we no longer need it and the law does not require us to keep it.
  • Object to or restrict what we do with it, and ask us to send you a copy in a portable format.

Message or ring us on 07940 355604 and tell us what you would like. We will not charge you, and we will come back to you within one month. We may need to check we are speaking to the right person first.

If you are not happy

Please come to us first and we will do our best to put it right. If you are still not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator.

You can reach the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. Complaining to the ICO costs nothing and does not affect any other rights you have.

Changes to this notice

If how we handle your information changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This notice was last updated on 3 November 2026.
